Vail, CO (Oct. 2008) –Slifer Smith & Frampton, the Vail Valley’s and Summit County’s premier real estate firm, has released company sales numbers for fiscal year 2008 that reflect the company’s second best year ever (the company recorded its best year for closed dollar volume in 2007). According to the firm, the Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate Eagle County division recorded $1,249,922,549 in sales and Summit County recorded $327,092,840 in sales.
“In light of the current economy, a lot of questions are being asked about the year ahead, but based on the past 12 to 24 months – when the national economy was struggling – we feel mountain real estate will maintain its appeal to buyers and investors,” said Jim Flaum, President and Managing Broker of Slifer Smith & Frampton. “A number of new projects came on-line for the company, including Arrabelle, The Lodge Chalets at Vail and the Westin Riverfront in Eagle County and Crystal Peak Lodge in Summit County. These projects will continue to contribute to a strong local market, as will the availability of existing property. Average sales prices in Eagle and Summit Counties continue to show the strength of these special resort markets, which we see as another indicator of the popularity of mountain properties. It continues to be a strong market in the high country.”
Slifer Smith & Frampton has been the most trusted name in Colorado real estate for over 40 years.
